Annandale North Public School students welcomed singer Deni Hines to launch a giant colouring-in competition for the Wilderness
Society. Children at 1700 schools will be invited to take part in the River Red Gum Rescue competition. According to the
Wilderness Society, in parts of the Murray River up to three quarters of the trees are stressed, dead or dying.

Premier's Sporting Challenge May 2008
ANPS hosted the Nickelodeon launch advertising the Premier’s Sporting Challenge in May 2008. The Premier’s Sporting Challenge was introduced to all New South Wales schools this year with the intention of encouraging more children to be more active. Years 1 to 6 are participating by recording their amount of active sport and play each day. Classes will receive bronze, silver, gold or diamond certificates at its completion at the end of Term 3.
As part of the special afternoon last week Nickelodeon’s Carl and Maude hosted an assembly for Years K-6 interviewing Craig Wing and Robbie Farah.
Following the assembly 3S, 3B, 4D & 4/5L participated in a fun filled activity session with Craig, Robbie, Carl, Maude, Rugby League Development Officers and the Nickelodeon crew. The whole afternoon was concluded with a small group of Annandale North students interviewing Craig and Robbie. We look forward to seeing us all on Nickelodeon.
