SCHOOL OF THE MONTH 2008

 

ANPS was invited to be school of the month for February on radio station 2RDJ-FM which broadcasts on 88.1 FM.

 

Four of our year 6 students co hosted the programme with Jason Kerr on Monday 25 February.

 

Our radio super star co hosts reported on their experience:

 

"Last Monday we went to co host the radio station 2RDJ-FM (88.1). We had to start off by introducing ourselves. We spoke about our hobbies and what we want to do when we leave school. We picked 8 songs from a list, two songs per person. We were asked to present a short item about out school. We talked about sport, buddies, our new playground Piper Street, our Antarctica projects, our centenary assembly and all our fabulous performances and works of art. The two wonderful hosts were Maria and Jason who helped us enjoy our experience. We had a chance to give sports and traffic reports. It took us a while to get used to talking on air but after a short amount of time we started speaking more naturally".
